Now that you are working remotely, how do you get your work done? Here are some applications and links on how to use them. This checklist is an ever-evolving document. Resources in the form of links will continually be added to the checklist below. Please check back regularly for added resources and guidelines.

Microsoft Office 365

Skype and Box

  • Skype for Business is an application that allows graduate students, faculty, and staff to make and forward phone and video calls, send instant messages, and participate in video conferences and group chats through their computers, IP phones, or mobile devices. You should have Skype automatically installed on your machine. More details on Skype.
  • Go to box.illinois.edu to set up your Box account. Use this to store and share files. 

Zoom (live video conferencing)

Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems. * Note:  On Mac OS 10.15 and above, you need to allow Zoom access to Screen Recording to share your screen. You can do this in your System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording. Check the box for Zoom.us.
