College Newsletters
The College of Education manages the content, production, and sending of various email newsletters. Based on the communication plan's stated goals, these emails are sent to general and targeted audiences.
When working with a unit on a newsletter, MarCom asks for the following to be supplied for the creation of the email:
We can also help develop email templates and layouts to allow you to send your own email+ campaigns. We offer help with header creation, layout, and content advice.
Below is a listing of current newsletters and audiences:
This email is sent to faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education. This publication shares news and announcements and is mainly internally facing. This is sent weekly.
Sent four times a year, the College Newsletter shares important research, advancement, and award news with various peers and campus constituencies. The audience for this newsletter is largely external.
The Office of Advancement sends Alumni Newsletters four times per year. These newsletters share important stories that showcase the impact that our donors can have by supporting the College. The audience is external.
Various departments have requested to send departmental newsletters to their audiences. They showcase departmental news, updates, research, and messages from leadership. Their audiences are targeted toward their stakeholders which are largely external.
The College maintains a number of email lists for use, when approved, both in Outlook and through the campus' Webtools Email + platform. For security reasons, details about these lists are not published on our public website. Units within the College have designated moderators who review and approve messages to their lists, prior to sending.
If you need to deliver your email message to specific groups within the College, please email Mike Painter at applicationsupport@education.illinois.edu for access. Helpful tip: make sure to have your email written and/or designed a few days before your goal send date, to allow time for review and approval.
