The College's Web Publishing System is based on the Sitefinity content management system. Through Sitefinity, users can easily update and publish content to existing websites from a web browser, without any additional software installation requirements. Oversight of the College's website is a shared effort between the Communications Office and IT Partners.
To request access to edit a portion of the College website, please email support@education.illinois.edu. IT Partners can give you access to the appropriate sections of the site, familiarize you with how the system works, and offer training and support for web editors.
Writing effectively for the web takes a different approach than writing a manuscript, email, letter, or funding proposal.
Additionally, it is the responsibility of all web editors in the College of Education to follow best practices to ensure our content is accessible to all audiences, including persons with disabilities. There are a number of features built into EdWebs3 that help make our pages accessible to a broad range of visitors. However, true accessibility does not happen without the knowledge, skill, and diligence of all our web editors.
