Johnell Bentz has been teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes online since 2011. Her undergraduate asynchronous course enrolls 350 students in each section. Her online graduate course is offered as part of the EPOL Diversity and Equity program. This session will discuss the benefits and considerations of teaching classes in either a synchronous or asynchronous format. Johnell will share examples of how each of the two formats are successful in promoting student engagement and learning. Johnell Bentz is Teaching Associate Professor in Special Education.
