2.00 – 3.00 p.m. CT
Presenter: Sangeetha Gopalakrishnan, COE Online Programs
As a pedagogical intervention, digital storytelling is a powerful tool which can be deployed to achieve different learning outcomes. For instructors, multimedia narratives can be a versatile format to present content. For students, it offers them creative ways to express their learning and tell their unique stories. In this session, Sangeetha will share some ideas based on her involvement with the Ethnic Layers of Detroit (ELD) project which was funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The ELD project has to do with creating short digital stories showcasing the ethnic histories of historical sites in the Detroit area.
